WALTON COUNTY, FLORIDA:       HAPPENING NOW: A manhunt is underway in DeFuniak Springs for an absconded sex offender out of Georgia.


Walton County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching the area of Coy Burgess Loop for Logan Michael Samples, 25.


In 2015, Samples was convicted of child molestation in Walton County, Georgia and is wanted for failure to register.


Our agency was notified this evening that Samples had been living in a home off John White Road.


Walton Correctional K-9 Team is en route. Residents in the nearby vicinity should expect an increased presence of law enforcement.
