Man Shoots Girlfriend in Eye

On 02/08/2020, the Dothan Police Department responded to South East Health in reference to a shooting victim.
When officers arrived, they found a female victim had been shot in the eye in 1000 blk of Greentree.
Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that William Woods (33) shot his girlfriend in the eye during an altercation. The victim was flown to UAB for further treatment but is expected to recover.
William Woods was charged with Domestic Violence 1st Degree and is being held on a $60,000 bond.
All persons arrested are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
