“ The Bond That Links Your True Family Is Not One Of Blood, But Of Respect And Joy In Each Other’s Life. “

Today I placed this floral arrangement at the Angel Of Hope for Manuel “ Book Salads “ Keener who was called to Heaven on November 22, 2021 by his Lord and Savior.

The quote about family I thought was very appropriate after I read what Lawrence Keener Sr. wrote about his dear brother on his Facebook page….

“ My brother , aka Book Salads, was a very smart and intelligent person; beloved by so many.

For years, I found myself admiring and looking up to him.

He was the realist person I have ever known.

Even in my worst times of existence, my brother thought the world-spoke so highly of me.

I’m truly going to miss him.

He and I were very close, 11 months apart, and shared the same age for approximately 21 days out of the year.

On December 2nd he would have joined me at age 49, waiting for the day I turned 50.

And if it is the Lord‘s will, 50 I shall be.

He had already bought a ham and made plans to join us for Thanksgiving.

Manuel Keener a.k.a. book salads, your brother loves you, your family loves you, and your friends love you as well.

Rest In Peace “

Lawrence the love and respect that you and your brother have for one another will remain eternally

Mr. Keener was born on December 2, 1972, in East Saint Louis, Illinois the son of Larry Sorrell and Veronica Marie Keener.

He was a 1991 graduate of Northview High School.

Manuel received his B.S. in Finance and Masters of Science in Economics from Alabama A&M University in Huntsville and was a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics.

Mr. Keener was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church and he was employed as a sales agent with Johnson Allstate Agency in Dothan

Manuel it is my loss that I never had the honor of knowing you after seeing all the love and respect that your brother, family and friends have for you.

You Are Loved Manuel
You Are Missed
And You Will
Always Be Remembered
