Mr. Arnie Forrester Life Claimed In Accident - Wife and Two Daugters in Hospital

HOUSTON COUNTY:    This accident claimed the life of Houston County man.


He is known as Arnie in the Columbia community and the owner of Forrester Farms in Columbia.


Also involved in the accident is his wife which is in the hospital in Birmingham. In addition to his wife, his two daughters were involved in the accident which are both in the hospital in Montgomery.


Mr. Arnie Forrester has two sons, Reese and Daniel.


Reese is on active duty with the military. Efforts are being made to get Reese home from active duty.


Daniel who serves as Columbia Fire - EMS Chief and also works with Headland Fire - Rescue. Daniel was on duty with Headland Fire - Rescue when he got the call.


Ethyn Wilkerson traveled with Daniel to Montgomery followed shortly by Headland Fire EMS Captain Tony Wikerson. At this time Tony is still in Montgomery with Daniel.


Please keep the Forrester family in your prayers. Please keep Daniel in your prayers as this young man is caring for his two sister, his mother, which are in two different hospitals in two different cities.  Daniel is working to get his brother Reese home from active duty. And Daniel is making arrangements for his daddy.


Daniel has family assisting him between the two hospitals and the three ladies in his life.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY:     A two-vehicle crash on New Year’s Day claimed the lives of two people: A woman from Troy and a man from Columbia, according to a news release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.


The accident happened at around 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 1, according to ALEA. A Hyundai Elantra driven by 57-year-old Lisa R. Hoffman of Troy was traveling the wrong way on U.S. 231 when it struck a Honda CR-V driven by 55-year-old Arnold D. Forrester of Columbia.


Both Hoffman and Forrester were pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred about 17 miles south of Montgomery at around the 97 mile marker on U.S. 231. Troopers continue to investigate the crash.
