Today, July 24th, I placed this beautiful floral arrangement in the arms of the Angel Of Hope to remember my best friend Gordy Hardy who was called to Heaven on this day 47 years ago.
A Day I Have Never Forgotten..A Day I Will Never Forget
47 years later on the very same day, July 24th, my best friend Sam Hathcock was laid to rest.
Their final resting place both in Memory Hill.
So this morning as I spoke at Sam’s funeral I couldn’t help but to look in the direction where I stood 47 years ago and think of my friend Gordy.
My 2 Best friends both now in Heaven
Gordy’s death was one of the reasons I did the Angel Of Hope Statue and Sam often told me how proud he was of me for doing it.
I never could have imagined that one day I would be placing flowers at the Angel Of Hope for my dear friend Sam Hathcock as well.
I’ve shed a lot of tears this week over the loss of Sam Hathcock..Especially today at Sam’s funeral.
On these same grounds at Memory Hill, 47 years ago, I shed tears for my best friend Gordy Hardy.
Gordy 47 years later and you have never been forgotten.
Gordy please welcome my friend Sam to his new HOME and together the both of you can prepare a place in Heaven for me...I just pray it’s no time soon. My children need me...I need them.
Sam And Gordy...I love y’all very much
Thank you so much for being my best friends
