Niceville Man Charged with Sexual Battery

OKALOOSA COUNTY:A Niceville man is charged with entering a truck where a woman was sleeping on Okaloosa Island and sexually assaulting her.
The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has charged 23-year old Taylor Copeland of Farrah Avenue with sexual battery and burglary with battery.
The victim and a man were asleep in a tractor truck on Okaloosa Island early in the morning of May 21st.
The victim says she awoke to find Copeland sexually battering her. The man inside the truck also woke up and began hitting Copeland in an attempt to defend the victim.
Copeland is currently being held on $200,000 bond in the Okaloosa County Jail in Crestview.
