Obituary from Holman Funeral Home and Cremations – Ozark, AL



Ms. Beverly Hart Barnes, 71, of Ozark went home to be with our loving Savior Friday, December 30, 2016 at her home.   


Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, January 4, 2017, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home and Cremations in Ozark with Reverend Jackie Davis officiating.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:30 P. M. until service time.


 


Ms. Barnes was born July 17, 1945 in Paxton, Florida to the late Rufus and Melba Collinsworth Hart. She was a military child and spouse and spent her golden years in Ozark where she resided until her passing. Mom enjoyed reading her Bible, crossword puzzles, and was an avid Alabama fan. Her passion was crocheting for her family and friends. Mom was a beautiful, kindred spirit and loved everyone with all she had. She will be greatly missed!  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Barnes, one son Curtis Barnes, and one brother Jerry Hart.


 


Survivors include five daughters; Sonya Fink of Ozark, Lori Mock (David) of Headland, Miranda Brighton of Ozark, Connie Boyington of Andalusia, Pat Getty (Paul) of Midland City, and one son, Ronnie Barnes of Donaldsonville, Georgia. She had one sister, Sandra Grimes (Charles) of Huntsville. In addition to her children she had seventeen grandchildren; Ashley Franklin (Michael), Morgan Barnes, Amber Barnes, Brandon Barnes, Sarah Parrish (Michael), Libby Boyington, Sean Phillips (Renea),  Brittany Center (Steven), Chelsea Goldstein (Jabin), Rodney Fink, Macy Fink, Zachary Fink, Ryan Jacobs, Cody Johnson, Levi Tharp, Alex Brighton, and Lynsey Brighton.  Several great grandchildren also survived her.
