OKALOOSA COUNTY :The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man for firing two shots into an occupied FedEx delivery van Thursday in Cinco Bayou, nearly striking the driver.
27-year-old Brian Quinones, address unknown, is now charged with two counts of attempted second degree homicide, two counts firing a deadly missile into a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.
The shooting took place on Annison Court. One bullet hit the passenger side window frame and did not enter the van. The second penetrated the driver’s side windshield, barely missing the driver, who ducked at the last second.
Two people were in the FedEx van at the time. They say they were making a delivery when a man with dreadlocks driving a white truck with Aqua Pool logos pulled in front of the van and stopped, fired two shots, then sped away.
OCSO deputies spotted and quickly made a felony traffic spot on the truck, which Quinones was driving. Inside they found a loaded 9mm handgun in a bag along with another loaded magazine and personal items belonging to Quinones. Marijuana was found between the seats.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
