Officers Arrest Murder Suspect in Jackson County

JACKSON COUNTY, FLORIDA:        On Wednesday, November 22, Jackson County Sheriff's Office Investigators, who are also Task Force Officers with the United States Marshals Service, received information from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office that a suspect, Darryl Jerome Walker, who was wanted for murder, was possibly in Jackson County.


On Friday, November 24, investigators located Walker and the vehicle he was known to be driving at an address inside Marianna city limits.


Walker was taken into custody without incident and will be extradited back to Escambia County to face charges.


Sheriff Edenfield is proud of the teamwork exhibited by Jackson County Sheriff's Office Investigators, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, and United States Marshal Service while taking Walker into custody.
