A Crestview area man was awake and breathing after being shot during a fight at a home on Smokey Branch Road this afternoon.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating. 45-year old Tim Holt suffered a wound to the left arm.

The bullet then reportedly traveled into his left side. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Investigators say the shooting took place around 2:30 p.m. outside a home at 5633 Smokey Branch Road.

A Crestview area man is recovering after being shot following an argument Sunday outside a home on Smokey Branch Road. 45-year old Tim Holt suffered a wound to the left arm. The bullet then reportedly traveled into his left side. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators say the argument stemmed from a dispute over money and became physical. Once it was over the other individual pulled out a weapon from his vehicle and fired once.

The victim says his friend drove him to his home since he did not have a cell phone to call for help. Additional details will be released as warranted.
