One Arrested for Suspected Arson in a House Fire in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL:-Washington County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives Investigations in the investigation of arson yesterday morning.
Just before 10:45 am. on August 1st, Washington County Fire Rescue and WCSO deputies responded to a Pine Log Rd. address in reference to a house fire. After further investigation it was determined the fire was purposely started on the inside of the home by 33-year-old Clint Sherman Elmore. Three juveniles were present in the home at the time of the fire but were able to escape unharmed.
Elmore, who was apprehended a short time later walking down the road from the residence was subsequently arrested on charges of arson and aggravated child abuse.
