One Charged with Trafficking in Meth in Holmes County

HOLMES COUNTY :On June 11, 2024, HCSO deputies responded to a report of a reckless driver near the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Highway 79.
Upon arrival at the scene, our deputy made contact with a Geneva County Deputy who had been tracking the suspect vehicle. The Geneva County Deputy reported that he had received a call about the vehicle and had observed it dangerously crossing into oncoming traffic near the state line, posing a significant threat to public safety.
The driver was identified as Johnny Brimer. During the interaction, K9 Lasso, was deployed to perform a free air sniff around the vehicle. The K9 unit alerted to the presence of narcotics, prompting a search of the vehicle.
During the search, deputies discovered three bags containing approximately 15 grams of methamphetamine hidden under the vehicle’s armrest. Further inspection revealed that Brimer was concealing a methamphetamine pipe in his boot.
Johnny Brimer was arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
