HOUSTON COUNTY:  Beginning October 13, 2021, at noon, Dothan/Houston County Emergency Management Agency will resume testing of the outdoor warning alert system.  Sirens will sound for 3 minutes.  Audible testing had been interrupted due to multiple mechanical failures caused by lightning strikes to the equipment.  The sirens are silently tested every week.

Following the October test, audible testing will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of every other month at noon.  This allows time for adjustment or repair if the sirens malfunction.

December 8th at noon will be the next scheduled siren test.
