Panama City Man Chages with Grand Theft

LYNN HAVEN FL:Lynn Haven Police have arrested a twenty-year-old, Panama City man on felony charges of Grand Theft – Auto. Jackson Shane Fleming is accused of having stolen a 2018 GMC Sierra truck valued at $36,000.00 from a local auto dealership. The stolen truck was recovered after an alert Patrol Officer with the Lynn Haven Police Department spotted it parked at a business on Highway 231 and recognized it as a stolen vehicle.
A subsequent investigation connected Fleming to the stolen vehicle and he was found nearby on that same property. Fleming later confessed to having taken the truck from the dealership on or about October 12, 2023 by presenting false identification to conceal his true identity and taking it for a “test drive,” from which he never returned. Fleming was booked into the Bay County Jail, where he was to be held pending his First Appearance before a local Judge.
