Pills Cocaine Firearm Located in Vehicle During Taffic Stop Leasa Two in Jail

WALTON COUNTY, FLA: A late-night traffic stop leads to the arrest of two men on drug and weapons charges in Walton County.
Just before midnight on May 12th, a Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 98. The vehicle did not immediately stop. However, the driver finally came to a stop on Beach Drive N in Miramar Beach.
The deputy asked the driver to exit the vehicle. Once he could see inside the car, he noticed pressed pills in the driver’s seat and the passenger had an open Michelob Ultra.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 160 multicolored tablets with different imprints on them weighing 47.5 grams. The pills tested positive for methamphetamine and cocaine.
Inside the glove compartment, deputies located a baggie of cocaine along with a fully loaded Glock 22.
The driver, Kevon Anthony Morris, 35, and the passenger Arsenio Lovelace, 36, were confirmed as convicted felons.
Morris and Lovelace were both arrested. Morris is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Lovelace is charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of cocaine, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Both were transported and booked into the Walton County Jail and were issued a $50,000 bond. Morris and Lovelace are still incarcerated at the time of this release.
