PLAN TO INTRODUCE CONTRABAND LANDS TWO IN JAIL, NETS INMATE ADDITIONAL CHARGE

BONIFAY - On November 9, investigators with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding a possible attempt to introduce contraband into the Holmes County Jail. Phone calls were intercepted from inmate Steven Watford giving another individual specifics on when and where to drop off items to be brought into the jail.
HCSO investigators went to the location Watford had given in the phone calls and were able to intercept the items being dropped off by Stacy Wilkerson and Arlina Carpenter. Included in the items was a candy container concealing a plastic baggy of methamphetamine.
A probable cause search of the vehicle Wilkerson and Carpenter were in produced additional methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Upon arrival at Holmes County Jail, Carpenter also disclosed that she was hiding a hypodermic needle and a small container of LSD on her person.
While processing evidence, investigators discovered LSD in items belonging to Wilkerson.
Stacy Wilkerson was arrested and charged with distribution of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of LSD, and conspiracy to introduce contraband into a county jail.
Arlina Carpenter was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of LSD, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Inmate Steven Watford was charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a county jail.
