Police Arrest Man for Setting Fire to Famed Building

Police arrested Richard Snodgrass, 28, for allegedly setting fire to the old Supreme Meadow Gold Ice Cream plant Thursday in Downtown Dothan.


The plant has been closed since the 1980s.


The Dothan Downtown Redevelopment Authority (DDRA) recently purchased the building in October for $55,000 with hopes of a downtown farmers market in the near future.
