Prayers For Mike Schmitz - Chairman of Dothan School Board - Former Dothan Mayor

DOTHAN:   This past Friday Mike Schmitz was admitted to Southeast Health.


IT IS NOT COVID - 19.


Mike Schmitz said it was his genetic heart issues and they have caught up with him. If you know Mike the issues had to run fast in order to catch up with him!


This morning the physicians did a heart cath on him. As a result of the heart cath the doctors have scheduled Mike for open heart surgery in the morning. The cath showed 90% blockage in all four arteries of his heart and the lower chamber is only functioning at 20%.


In the morning the physicians will perform a quad bypass.


Please lift Mike Schmitz, the physicians and medical staff at Southeast Health up in your prayers. Also lift up Sandy Schmitz, their son Mike - his wife and grandchild in prayers as they walk through this surgery and recovery.


GOD is in control. Mike is in good health and physically strong with a GO GO GO attitude. He will bounce back even stronger in the days ahead.
