HOUSTON COUNTY:      “I am not involved in the Center Stage case”. Those were the words of Twentieth Judicial Circuit District Attorney Doug Valeska.

In fact, when the Attorney General’s Office was in court in Houston County, two assistants from Valeska’s Office were in the courtroom. When I asked Valeska he said something to the effect they were just there if they needed anything. As a courtesy.

Valeska has led myself and others to believe that he was not involved at all in the Center Stage case.

However, I now know that was a determined and calculated lie. Politically I guess they would say, “oh, I just misspoke”. NO!!

As you will see, there is a letter dated July 13, 2011 written by District Attorney Doug Valeska to Attorney General Luther Strange. Notice the last paragraph:

“One other issue I would like to address. I know you have a lot of other gambling issues going on right now, but as you may have heard Center Stage gas reopened and is running bingo machines. I would appreciate if this could be addressed as well. They claim to be legal and giving all proceeds to charity, “less expenses”. It doesn’t seem they are operating legally or giving proceeds to charity”.  Douglas A. Valeska, District Attorney.

Folks, why is it impossible for the top prosecutor in the Twentieth Judicial Circuit  to just tell the truth? Look for yourself.

Etowah County Alabama

Etowah County, Gadsden, is in Alabama. The District Attorney of Etowah County, made a statement in a case where the Etowah County Sheriff did what he should and arrested the lady in possession of two electronic bingo machines. The District Attorney had the court nol pros ( dismiss/throw out ) the two criminal charges the Sheriff made against the woman.

District Attorney Harp is quoted as saying “ I am not going to let my office be used to determine the legality of electronic bingo”.

Well, I though you all said it was against the law.

By the way, Greentrak is playing electronic bingo and has been for over a year. The reason is the special appointed Judge from Jefferson County for Greene County ruled the Attorney General’s Office had lied.

Was Doug Valeska in Greene County? Because he has lied to several people here in Houston County. And the paperwork proves otherwise.

DECEPTION

In closing, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office has been deceptive to Twentieth Judicial Court Judge Michael Conaway. The Attorney General’s Office has been deceptive to the people of Houston County.

The Attorney General filed for Judge Conaway to limit the scope for discovery in the material they had to provide to Center Stage in the “charade” civil forfeiture action before Judge Conaway.

The Attorney General asked to only be required to provide documents for the day of the raid, July 25, 2012 and the day after, July 26, 2012. The reason given was “an on going investigation”. Judge Conaway granted the motion of the Attorney General.

However, the Attorney General requested Judge Conaway be ordered to provide a broad amount of material for the Attorney General’s Office. Judge Conaway granted the motion.

Well, Judge Conaway and the people of Houston County, the Alabama Attorney General’s Office has conned you and been deceptive to you.

Here is proof:  remember the actions of Attorney General Luther Strange during the 2013 Legislative Session regarding making the gambling offenses a felony rather than a misdemeanor? Strange lost and had to be called down by the Speaker Pro Tem office because he was crossing the lines and complaints were being lodged against him.  The legislature denied the Strange request. The gambling offenses are still a misdemeanor offense.

The crime is a misdemeanor. That means, as of July 25, 2013, there are no charges which can be lodged against the machine owners. Therefore it matters not, the statue of limitations has expired.

Also Strange’s “special Houston County Grand Jury”. They have been scheduled to meet each month. They have only met two times (1) the first day they were picked, and (2)one other day. All other meetings of the Grand Jury, well they have not met.

So, Judge Conaway and the people of Houston County…you have been deceived by Luther, and apparently ‘ol Douglas Albert Valeska is in on the con game.
