Pursuit Ends in Drug Arrest

HOLMES COUNTY: A deputy attempted to stop a red dirt bike on Hwy 173 and Bethel Rd. The driver, later identified as Jonah Taylor, refused to stop prompting a pursuit.


The pursuit continued until Taylor entered a field off Underwood Rd. and attempted to flee on foot. Law enforcement officers swiftly apprehended him without further incident.



A subsequent search of Taylor’s backpack revealed methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.



Jonah Taylor now faces the following charges fleeing and attempting to elude, reckless driving, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
