We are excited for the opportunity to host an in-person graduation! As you know, we have restructured many components of the ceremony to comply with safety guidelines.
This year, we will host graduation at the National Peanut Festival Amphitheater. The ceremony will take place in one session beginning at 8:00 am. Gates will open for entry at 6:30 am on May 22. Parents/Family will be directed to park in the North parking lot, and are permitted two (2) vehicles per graduate. After parking, families should enter the amphitheater through the North Ticket gate, and are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, etc. for seating inside the amphitheater. Please note RVs, busses, limos, trailers behind trucks, or attendees in truck beds are not permitted. Vehicle admittance is subject to security’s discretion. Any violators will be asked to leave by law enforcement. We greatly appreciate your compliance as we strive to uphold all safety guidelines.
Please note that no attendee is allowed to approach the stage for any reason and must stay within the painted guidelines on the amphitheater grounds, staying at least six (6) feet apart from other families. Our goal is to create a safe atmosphere while providing the best possible experience for all attendees. Seating will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Seniors are not permitted to visit their families at any time during the ceremony. Graduates who arrive with their family can be dropped off and picked up outside the North Ticket Building gate.
We understand this is a critical point in each senior’s journey that should be celebrated, cherished, and remembered. We are delighted to provide a professional photographer that will take a high-quality on-stage picture of each senior as they cross the stage to get their diploma. Additionally, we will provide a complimentary 5x7 physical copy of the photo for each family’s keeping available for pickup this summer.
All seniors must wear their cap & gown to the ceremony, as that will be their ticket backstage. There will be a senior-only parking lot behind the amphitheater stage that will provide easy access for entering/exiting the ceremony.
Because of space limitations and unprecedented circumstances, we also understand many will not be able to attend. To ensure everyone has the opportunity to experience this special event, 102.5 on FM will play the ceremony audio live, and Premier Entertainment Group will capture professional video and stream the coverage live on Rehobeth High School’s Facebook page. Additionally, the full video coverage will be available for download from Facebook after the close of the ceremony.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we seek to provide a memorable and special experience for our Rehobeth Class of 2020 graduates. We understand and acknowledge these are not ideal conditions and would love the opportunity for a traditional indoor ceremony, but as circumstances have it, we are proud to have the opportunity to host a safe revised ceremony that complies with all state and national guidelines and ensures full protection and safety to all attendees. For any questions or concerns, please reach out to [email protected] and we will reconnect as soon as possible.
Congratulations to our hardworking Class of 2020 seniors! We look forward to the opportunity to host you and your families on Friday, May 22 at 8:00 am.
