Remembering Derrick Morris At The Angel Of Hope

Today a floral arrangement was placed at the Angel of Hope by AngieNmark Saliba
for her close friend Derrick Morris who was called to Heaven this past Tuesday October 5, 2021.

A 1992 graduate of Rehobeth High School, Derrick was well known in the community where he grew up and later returned to teach others.

He taught social studies and coached football at Slocomb High School and went on to be the assistant principal at Rehobeth Middle School.

He later worked as the principal at Houston County High School and Rehobeth Middle School before taking the role of federal programs director for the district.

“Houston County Schools lost an important leader and a dear friend yesterday,” the district wrote on its Facebook page on Wednesday. “Please remember his family in your prayers.

Derrick was loved by all and will be dearly missed.”
