Remembering Kenny Riley…39 Years Ago Today

Two years ago I placed these beautiful flowers along with a picture of Kenny Riley at the Angel Of Hope Statue at Westgate Park.

Thirty nine years ago today God called
Kenny Riley Home.

Kenneth Riley, Jr. September 22, 1959 - January 22, 1983.

Kenny’s dad joined his son in Heaven 9 days ago on 01/13/2022.

Mr. Riley sent me a message 4 days before he was called Home at 9:53 PM sharing his thoughts of his son and the Angel Of Hope that meant so much to him. I will cherish that message for the rest of my life.

Below is a message from Kenny’s dad that he shared with me 2 years ago….

“Erma and I are grateful for 23 wonderful years with Kenny. He had his life in order...graduated from The University of Alabama, had a good job in Raleigh, and was only about three weeks away from being married to Lisa Warner, now Lisa Warner Northcutt. We are so fortunate to still have Lisa and her family in touch. We love her very much. it means a lot to me that, 35 years later, so many of Kenny’s friends still share memories with is. Erma and I are blessed to have nothing but good memories that we share as a family with our children, Cindy Riley Klages & family and Michael Riley & family. Still, this anniversary is very difficult, and always will be.”
