I received the message below from Trent Vance Mathis
sharing her support for The Angel Of Hope Statue during its construction 5 years ago and it means as much if not more to me today than it did then.
This is her beautiful daughter Kristie (Ke-Ke)Mathis who God called home on July 22, 2011.
" Hello. My name is Trent Mathis and I lost my daughter in 2011. I have prayed for something like this! A place to go when I miss her, a place for families to meet and share stories of hope!!! May God Bless you for helping get this going. I lost almost everything when Kristie died”
Kristie was born on November 12, 1993 to Rex Mathis and Trent Mathis in Dothan, AL and lived the early years of her life in Eufaula.
She later moved to Dothan where she lived the remainder of her life.
Kristie was an active member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and she loved Vacation Bible School.
She especially loved Imprinting with the children.
She was a doting big sister who loved being “Ke-Ke” to her twin brother and sister Reagan and Cameron.
She also showed a very special love and concern to her mother during her illness.
