COTTONWOOD: Today many schools returned to duty with changes that has changed the way we live. COVID -19.
Schools have been closed since sometime around March when COVID-19 arrived. This has changed the way we all live. It has changed the way schools operate.
Brantley, our grandson (guess will include parents Emily and Josh Fails, Mike Bradley and Jaydee - parents and step parents ), first day in the second grade.
Brantley begins his second year at Cottonwood for school. He told me late this afternoon that he had a good day.
Please be patient as school works through systems to make things work to protect the most precious resource - our children. Some of the steps will be trial and error as they navigate systems to protect the children.
Did you ever think in South Alabama you would be stopped from attending Church? Last year as you walked into a bank signs cautioned no face masks, no sunglasses or hats. Today the signs read you must have face mask in order to enter the bank, if they let you in at all.
COVID - 19 will strike you at church ( 8:45 AM until 11:20 AM ), and COVID-19 will strike you in a restaurant unless you have 50% capacity, and COVID-19 will strike you if you go to a bar ( 11:00 PM until 2 AM ), but it will not strike you at Walmart, Lowe's or Target. A strange disease.
School will navigate. We are taking a wait and see giving them a opportunity to get things running smooth.
So far - no major complaints. Had some before today - but waiting and seeing.
CONGRATULATIONS to Brantley has another chapter in his life begins.
