Search resumes Saturday for missing boaters in Lake Jordan collision

ELMORE COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - Search efforts resumed Saturday morning for two missing boaters after a July 4 collision on Lake Jordan, according to Law Enforcement Agency Marine Patrol.






The search resumed at 8 a.m.






As of Friday night, ALEA Patrol Commander Capt. Gary Buchanan identified the two people who are still missing. They have been identified as 26-year-old Clay Jackson of Deatsville and 17-year-old Travis House of Marbury.






Lake Jordan, located about 25 miles north of Montgomery in Elmore County, was busy for Fourth of July festivities much like many bodies of water across the state. It’s unclear what happened, but a total of seven people were involved when the two boats hit.
