HOUSTON COUNTY: Houston County Sheriff Donald Valenza along with the men and women of the Houston County Sheriff Department were host to the annual retired law enforcement luncheon.
Sheriff Valenza held this years event at Dothan’s First Methodist Church. In the past years it was held at the Houston County Farm Center.
A time that retires from Municipal, County, State and Federal law enforcement along with current members of law enforcement come together for a time to see each other, get caught up on each other and talk about all times.
This is a time when these men and women, along with Judges and Prosectors, can see each other for a relaxing good time.
There was great attendance. Jackson County Retired Sheriff’s Johnny McDaniel and Lou Roberts were on hand, retired 20th Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tom Sorrells, Retired 20th Judicial Circuit Judge Denny Holloway and Ron Storey, retired Alabama State Trooper Captain Walter Bowers who also served as Jail Commander for Houston County Sheriff Department after his retirement, retired Henry County Sheriff Will Maddox, and a host of others
Great food, fun and fellowship.
