Shooting in Eufaula leads to Arrest

Eufaula - One person has been injured by a gunshot at a Eufaula apartment Wednesday night.


At approximately 0033 hours, 16 March 2023, Eufaula Police and Eufaula Fire Rescue responded to a call of a person that had sustained a gunshot wound. Upon arrival at the west Fair Street apartment complex, Officers determined that an individual had received multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body and initiated medical treatment. The 49-year-old individual was transported via ambulance to Medical Center Barbour for additional treatment.


Jamese Lamar Walker, 38, of Gadsden, was arrested on scene and charged with Attempted Murder (13A-4-2). Walker is being held in the Eufaula City Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
