JACKSON COUNTY, FL- On July 24, 2022, at approximately 3:40 a.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded to a verbal dispute at the Fairfield Inn.
Upon arrival, deputies learned the argument was between two brothers. During the course of the investigation, one brother, identified as Jason Pollock, handed his brother items out of his pocket before being taken into custody on a child support warrant.
While doing so, a small bag containing cocaine fell onto the floor. Deputies conducted a search of his person and located nine more small bags, all empty, and a large amount of money within his pockets.
Jason Pollock was taken into custody without incident and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Sheriff Edenfield is grateful the dispute did not escalate and that deputies were able to apprehend someone with a controlled substance.
