Single Vehicle Accident Sends one to Hospital from Ashford

Ashford – Houston County Communications dispatched Ashford Fire and Ashford Rescue to a single vehicle accident at 2164 S Rocky Creek Rd around 10:00 this morning. Houston County Deputy was first on scene advising vehicle had overturned but back up on its wheels. One person still inside the vehicle. Ashford Engine 2 and Command 1 along with Ashford Rescue arrived to assess the patient and check for extrication needs. Ashford PD responded as well. No extrication was needed and all fire units returned to service. Ashford Rescue transported one patient to a local hospital as a trauma alert. ALEA Troopers are responding to investigate the accident.
