Slocomb Man Charged with Sex Crimes

DOTHAN ALA:On August 4, 2023, the Dothan Police Department began investigating a report of sex crimes against a juvenile. As a result of the investigation, 40-year-old Robert Lee Whitsette Jr. of Slocomb has been charged with four counts of Rape First Degree and other sex crimes which occurred in Dothan. He is currently being held in the Houston County Jail with no bond.


Due to the sensitive nature of the case, no further information will be released.
