The month of May is Small Business Month, and RSN is spotlighting those who deserve recognition during this special time.

One local business that deserves recognition is Tip Top Beauty Bar located at 294 West Main Street, Suite 201 and 202 in Dothan.

Owner, Tiphanny Andrews, opened her business over five years ago.

Tip Top Beauty Bar provides a safe, clean, and peaceful environment for clients to enjoy beauty services.

The shop provides hair and esthetic services, permanent makeup, lash extensions, and more.

Andrews started her business as a freelance makeup artist and worked to grow her brand in order to gain the community’s trust, and she has done just that; she now provides services all over the United States.

Her advice to anyone interested in opening a small business would be to just start.

“Everyone has to start somewhere. Never be afraid to be a beginner. Remain consistent! Consistency is one of the biggest factors to accomplishing success,” Andrews said.

Andrews said that everyone is welcome at Tip Top Beauty Bar. She caters to all skin tones, types, and textures.

The shop also provides facials, waxing, body sculpting, microblading, and microshading. 

When asked what her most popular service was, she said it would be both lash extensions and makeup/permanent makeup.

She came up with her business name because her nickname is “Tip.”

Andrews said, “Beauty is about enhancing what you have. Let yourself shine through.”

She does just that for her clients; she allows them to feel beautiful and full of life after her services.
