Today’s "Spotlight on Schools" article features a Cottonwood High School senior.

Lauren Dodson was selected as the recipient to receive the April Kirkland Memorial Scholarship.

This scholarship is presented each year to a deserving Cottonwood senior by Mrs. Gail Adams.

She has also been a member of Beta Club for four years and FBLA for two years; she currently serves as FBLA president. Additionally, she has served on the yearbook staff for two years.

She has also received the following scholarships:

-Southeast Gas Community Service Scholarship ($1,500)
