Stand with Anthony and Stop the Bullying

This past Saturday while standing in line to check out at the Family Dollar on Montgomery Hwy a customer was awe struck at the way a teller was being treated by another employee or manager. She began recording the event because of her disbelief. 

The customer goes on to say in her statement that this employee was being yelled at for reasons not even known. The worst part was it was more frustrating that he was visibly overwhelmed and was incapable of responding, from my observation he was incapable of responding. 

The manager or other employee made comments like “they should make you pay for them" and “I don’t know what’s wrong with you“

The cashier that is being bullied is named Anthony Butler. He is from Ashford. He has previously worked at the Dollar General in Cowarts on 84. Everyone has had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. 

A few statements about Anthony from others: 

He is an absolute sweetheart he would always do his job to his best potential and was always I repeat always so kind and nice to every person who came in that store would even go out of his way to help anyone. 

He worked at the dollar general on 84 in Cowarts he so nice and tries his best a work I can say

He’s always been the quiet type

He’s a pretty nice guy he’d give you the shirt off of his back if you needed it or his last dollar if you needed it and too many people have used and abused him and took advantage of him over the years

This man worked for me and he is a good guy people have no respect this man has a disability but gets up and goes to work

He is a go getter and works hard and tries hard he always shows up an tries to do his best 

We need him back in Cowarts where he can be showered with love great customers

 

There is no place for bullying in schools or in the work place. I personally do not know this man but have family who does. I was told "This guy went to high school at Ashford- he’s got a heart of gold and poor thing is just trying to survive in this world"! 

Lets stand with Anthony, STOP the bullying, speak up for those who can't speak up for themselves and if you are a business owner in the Ashford or Cowarts area consider bringing Anthony home and giving him a job to where his local home town knows and respects him.
