STOLEN VEHICLE; ONE IN CUSTODY

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL:A Vernon man is behind bars after allegedly stealing a vehicle from Panama City Beach.
On May 3, 2022, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the WCSO Telecommunications Center received a call in reference to a suspicious person near Sugardoll Rd. and State Rd. 79 from a field crew working in the area. The crew advised the male subject got irate when they refused to let him use their company phone.
Deputies make contact with the male subject just north of the area and he identified himself as Phillip Dean Weeks, 41. Weeks advised deputies his car broke down south of the location and identified it as a “Black Toyota Camry ‘07” also stating “the motor blew up.”
Deputies ran an information check through Washington County Dispatch and was subsequently made aware of an outstanding warrant. Weeks was a possible suspect in a stolen vehicle case out of Panama City Beach on a ’07 Black Toyota Camry.
Weeks was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail.
