SLOCOMB AL: Slocomb Fire-Rescue, Fadette Fire District, and Malvern Vol. Fire Dept. responded to a structure fire at 947 County Rd. 60. The initial 911 caller reported heavy smoke showing. Rehobeth Fire-Rescue was also requested to respond. Units arrived on scene to find a single story residential structure with heavy smoke and fire showing. Firefighters conducted an offensive interior attack. A partial roof collapse occurred which made salvage and overhaul operations difficult. Firefighters operated on scene for approximately 4 hours. No injuries were reported.
