JACKSON COUNTY FLA :On Nov. 27, around 1:45 a.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls about two people driving on to people’s property and snooping around. When deputies arrived in the area, they immediately located the suspects’ vehicle parked in the road with the lights off. Both the driver, Jeremy Dale Martin, and the passenger, Terri Lynn Butler, appeared to be under the influence.
Deputies discovered that Martin and Butler were going to houses in the area and prowling. Deputies then asked Martin to perform a series of field sobriety exercises, which he was unable to successfully complete. Martin and Butler were arrested.
While enroute to the jail, Butler stated she was becoming sick, so deputies stopped the vehicle to check on her. Butler got out of the vehicle and fell to the ground. Once it was clear Butler was fine, she was asked to get back into the vehicle. Butler began to resist deputies, but they were able to secure her back in the vehicle.
Martin is being charged with Driving Under the Influence. Butler is being charged with Prowling and Resisting Without Violence.
