Washington County, FL; September 7, 2021)-A Tennessee man is behind bars today in Washington County that was an occupant in the car and witness to the shooting incident that occurred near State Rd. 79 and Johnson Rd. on Sunday.

Monday, September 6, 2021, Deputies respond to a call in reference to two male subjects in the area of State Rd.79/Johnson Rd. that appear to be searching for something on the side of the highway.

Subjects returned to the scene, attempting to retrieve items discarded the previous day in relation to the shooting incident. As deputies arrive on scene, they witness one of the men walk within close proximity to the patrol car and discard a black object. Deputies try to make contact with the male subject. After repeatedly warning the subject to stop and a short foot chase the male complied. Both subjects were detained for questioning without further incident.

Deputies retrieve the items that were discarded by 47-year-old, Adrian Lamont Cameron of Antioch, TN. The black object was a sock that contained several illegal narcotics. As Cameron was taken into custody, he was found to be in possession of the matching sock.

Cameron was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, resisting arrest without violence and tampering with physical evidence.

Cameron is currently on parole from Tennessee for a homicide. Tennessee officials advised they will be obtaining an arrest warrant for Cameron for violation of parole
