The North Alabama HIDTA Drug Task Force Charged Two with Trafficking

The North Alabama HIDTA Drug Task Force (NADTF) in partnership with its Alabama Law Enforcement Agency members arrested two narcotics traffickers from the Birmingham area this week. K-9 Rooster assisted in the recovery of three kilograms of methamphetamine.
The arrests took place in Priceville with assistance from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit, Decatur Police Department Alabama and Priceville Police Department, Alabama.
29-year-old Hector Ariel Lemus Guerra and 24-year-old Alejandro Venegas Mendoza were both charged with trafficking methamphetamine. They are both being held in the Morgan County Jail with a $500,000 bond.
This successful operation stopped a large amount of methamphetamine from being distributed throughout North Alabama.
