Three Arrested for Drug Trafficking

HOLMAS COUNTY:On February 8, 2024, a HCSO deputy conducted a traffic stop on Highway 81. During the stop, the Deputy made contact with the driver, Adam Ward, who disclosed that his license was suspended.
Further investigation revealed two passengers in the vehicle, identified as Markia Ward and Dallas Thompson.
Upon conducting a consent search of the vehicle, deputies discovered a mirror containing a crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine. Markia Ward voluntarily admitted possession of the substance and revealed additional contraband concealed in her clothing.
Approximately two ounces of methamphetamine and a glass pipe were recovered from her person.
Subsequent interviews with all individuals involved led to admissions of ownership of the seized drugs. Consequently, Adam Ward, Markia Ward, and Dallas Thompson were arrested and charged with trafficking in methamphetamine.
