DOTHAN—Ahead of one of Dothan's most exciting events, the National Peanut Festival is holding a peanut recipe contest and a cake decorating contest Thursday to show off Wiregrass delicacies.

PEANUT RECIPE CONTEST

Entrants can drop off their entries featuring the peanut to the NPF Volunteer Building from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday. Judging begins at 10 a.m., and the awards ceremony is at 1 p.m. at the NPF Bank Plus Arena. You can view the rules and the entry form here. Winners will receive prizes!

Each entry must feature peanuts, peanut butter, peanut oil or other peanut products. Refer to the rules for exact amounts of peanuts must be included in entries. The finished product must be at least 10 servings, along with the detailed printed or typed recipe.
