DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:    About the TOP COP of Dothan and HIGH SHERIFF of Houston County.

The TOP COP of Dothan, Chief Will Benny is on a lot of scenes, most especially major scenes. On Tuesday when there was a firearm assault, the TOP COP was eating lunch. He left his lunch and responded to the scene.

Tonight there was a firearm assault in Ashford. The firearm assault was dispatched at 8:00 PM. The HIGH SHERIFF of Houston County, Donald Valenza, was on the scene. Sheriff Valenza remained out until 11:55 PM when I heard him call 10-7 ( Out of Service ).

Why do I point this out? Both high ranking law enforcement commanders are out serving the people of Dothan and Houston County.

COLUMBIA

Do not know what he was out on but Columbia Police Chief Phillip Killingsworth was out working tonight. He just called 10-7 ( Out of Service ) from working. Chief Killingsworth was out earlier today working day shift. So just letting the people know he was out working.

TONIGHT

Has been a busy night for the 911 Communications Division, fire and EMS and law enforcement. Once agency informed the supervisor at one time they had calls holding. In other words more calls then officers on shift.

IF I DO NOT TELL YOU THEN HOW DO YOU KNOW ?

The men and women who serve you work hard. They dedicate much of their time and energies to serving you. If I did not tell you, how would you know the TOP COP and HIGH SHERIFF get out and respond to certain calls? Do you deserve to know? Well, yes you do deserve to know.

DOTHAN-HOUSTON COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT DIRECTOR

I mention Chris Judah, Director of Dothan-Houston County Emergency Manager. Do you know that Chris Judah, as an employee of Houston County, is suppose to work Monday through Thursday, with Friday - Saturday and Sunday off? But he is out and responds to calls and handles business almost seven days per week. He will respond and help fight a fire. He will suit up and a fire suit and stand shoulder to shoulder in fighting a fire.

GREAT DEDICATED PEOPLE SERVING YOU
