TRAFFIC STOP ENDS IN DRUG ARREST

BONIFAY – A Geneva, Alabama man finds himself back in jail for the second time within a month. Bobby Meyers was stopped on CR 65 for an expired tag.
Myers stated to the deputy that he did not have a valid driver’s license. K9 Lasso was utilized to conduct a free air sniff of the exterior of the vehicle, which resulted in a positive alert for narcotics.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and located in the vehicle was a plastic baggy containing methamphetamine. Myers who is currently out on bond for the same charges was arrested and charged with driving while license suspended and possession of methamphetamine.
