TRAFFIC STOP ENDS IN DRUG ARREST

BONIFAY – On April 6, 2021, a traffic stop was conducted on Hwy 179 by a deputy with HCSO on a black Mercedes being driven by Johnny Dixon. While the deputy was talking to Dixon, they observed a glass smoking pipe lying in his lap in plain view.

Dixon was detained and a search of the vehicle produced a bag containing several grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Dixon, who is out on bond from a previous drug arrest from October 2020, was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
