DOTHAN: Dothan Police spotted a vehicle acting suspicious in the area of Ford County. The officer tried to do a traffic stop on the vehicle but the driver had other ideas. The officer followed the vehicle while other officers responded to help stop the vehicle. The suspect traveled around Ford County and ended up on East Selma. The suspect ran into traffic at Selma and St Andrews and couldn’t get away from police.
As officers approached the vehicle to remove the driver tried to escape and pulled out onto a patrol unit that was attempting to get in front of him striking the patrol unit. Then the suspect tried to back up and struck another patrol unit. Both patrol units received minor damage but the suspect wasn’t done. A Dothan Police K-9 apprehended the suspect and he was taken into custody.
Dothan Fire was called to chuck the suspect but he was transported to the DPD jail for booking.
