Marianna, FL - On Sunday June 2, 2019 officers with the Marianna Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Pittman for driving at night time with no headlights on. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted due to the odor of marijuana. Prior to the search of the vehicle Pittman admitted to having a firearm in the vehicle. Officers recovered and secured the firearm. During the search of the vehicle a large amount of marijuana was recovered along with items used in the sale of narcotics. During the course of the traffic stop it was learned that the firearm recovered from the vehicle was stolen. Pittman was placed under arrest and transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility.
Arrestee: Dontreal Cheaunca Pittman B/M 21 years of age
Charges: Grand Theft of a Firearm
Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Sale
Carrying a Concealed weapon
