HOLMES COUNTY:On June 18, 2024, a deputy from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 183-A and Alford Road due to a traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as John Lawniczak. During the interaction, the deputy received consent from Lawniczak to search the vehicle.

Upon conducting the search, the deputy discovered a sunglass case located on the driver’s side floorboard, adjacent to Lawniczak. Inside the case, the deputy found methamphetamine pipes and over 14 grams of methamphetamine. As a result of these findings, John Lawniczak was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
