TRAFFIC STOP YEILDS THREE ARREST

PONCE DE LEON - On January 16, 2022 a deputy stopped a vehicle on Hwy 81 for attaching tag not assigned. Contact was made with the driver and he was identified as Danny Joseph. The passengers in the vehicle were identified as Jeffery Ward and Theresa Renfroe.
Consent to search was obtained and a search of Ms. Renfroe purse revealed a black container and a plastic baggy both containing methamphetamine. A search of Ward’s suitcase was also conducted and located was a glass pipe that contained methamphetamine.
All three subjects were arrested. Joseph was charged with attaching a tag not assigned, Renfroe and Ward were charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Once at the jail a further search of Renfroe person revealed another plastic bag containing meth hidden on her person.
