TWO IN JAIL ON DRUG CHARGES

BONIFAY - On November 10, deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 79 near Hwy 177. Contact was made with the driver, John Bedwell of Panama City, and passenger Lisa Huff of Milton.


Bedwell informed deputies that his driver’s license was likely suspended, which was confirmed by a check with dispatch.



During the interaction, deputies obtained consent to search the vehicle. While searching, they noticed a glass pipe on the ground near Ms. Huff, who claimed ownership of it. Deputies also recovered methamphetamine belonging to both Mr. Bedwell and Ms. Huff.



Both Bedwell and Huff were arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail. Bedwell is charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of methamphetamine. Huff is charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
