Two Women Arrested on Contraband Charges

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FLORIDA: Two Jacksonville, Florida, women were arrested in Washinton County on several felony charges to include smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
On November 26, Washington County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Northwest Florida Reception Center to transport two arrestees following an investigation conducted by the prisons Inspector General Office.
Shawnya Latanga Hagans, age 22, and Jaymicka Lashelle Oruamabo, age 31, allegedly smuggled contraband into the Northwest Florida Reception Center while visiting an inmate.
Both females were arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on charges of heroin possession with the intent to sell or manufacture, heroin trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
